I thought i would just sit and write for a second about something that for one just makes me smile, and two opened a passion i never thought i would have because my talents in playing musical instruments is nothing that anyone would want to sit around a camp fire and listen to.

"So you say you want a love song... give me one more chance to break your heart... you know the drill, just by the way, you know that sometimes you need to take one for the team... you fake another smile for anyone who's watching... like the rush of the passing wind, you blew me away... just killing time..."
Mostly what im trying to say is that there is something about the bands and solo artists here in Utah Valley that understand what music is really supposed to be, very often you will find me at a show not because im freinds with the band or knew them in high school, but because i have found that the music being played comes from something real inside and from the mind of someone that has a passion in life and isn't just writing to make money. Thanks to a good man that desires the local scene to grow and become important in peoples lives, i find myself at Velour supporting artists with something that i can't do myself.

some of my favorite memories involve the local scene. great blog
Dash, I couldn't agree more about Joshua's music. He writes and sings from a place real, authentic, sincere, heartfelt, meaningful, hopeful. After hearing one of his songs, the silence afterward is different.
